The King Scout Award

The King Scout Award is the top achievement for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members and comprises of a variety of activities to complete.

The King Scout Award (KSA) is linked closely to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award and it is worth working on the two awards together.

Tiers Of King Scout Award

There are multiple tiers to work for, this includes:

Chief Scout Platinum

Chief Scout Diamond 

and

The King Scout Award

Chief Scout Platinum

To achieve the Chief Scout Platinum you will need to:

Be an Explorer for 6 months and complete 6 nights away as an Explorer.

Complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award/ or equivalent.

Complete 2 activities of International, Community and Values from the Specified list,

Chief Scout Diamond

To achieve the Chief Scout Diamond award you will need to:

Be an Explorer for 12 months and complete 12 nights away as an Explorer.

Complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Silver Award/ or equivalent.

Complete 4 challenges of International, Community and Values from the Specified list

To complete the King Scout Award you will need to be in Explorers for 18 months and complete 18 nights away as an Explorer.

Complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award/ or equivalent.

18 nights away, Complete 6 challenges from the International, Community and Values from the Specified list.
